Overview - Palace Hotel, Helsinki

The 4 star Palace Hotel is located in the centre of Helsinki and within easy reach of the shops and local sights. The harbour is almost on the doorstep and the Market Square, Old Market Hall and the Esplanade with its fine shops are just a short walk away. Especially in spring, the Esplanade is a popular park with both locals and visitors alike.

Completed in 1952, the year of the Helsinki Olympic Games, the Palace Hotel has retained some of its 1950s modernism, which can be noticed in the hotel corridors. The cosy lobby with its gin & tonic bar, also exudes a similar ambience.

Accommodation

The Palace Hotel has just 39 rooms ranging from delightful single rooms to large suites on the ninth floor. Some of the rooms also have a balcony and sea view over the South Harbour.
Each room has en suite bathroom, cable/pay TV, ADSL, VOD (video on demand) TV system, hairdryer, trouser press, desk, minibar and tea/coffee maker

Bars & Restaurants

Depending on the occasion, guests have a choice of three restaurants in the Palace Hotel. Lunch restaurant Palace Café serves delicious, simple home fare. In the evening visitors can enjoy the Franco-Finnish cuisine and extensive wine list in the Palace Gourmet.

Conference Facilities

The Conference Room and Business Centre are on the 9th floor of the hotel
Conference Room:
This is a 60 square metre room which is suitable for meetings, courses and sales exhibitions. Facilities include an overhead projector and screen, a flip chart, TV and video, and U-layout seating for 20 or theatre-style seating for 30.

Meeting Room
A more intimate venue, consisting of 40 square metres of space with overhead projector and screen, flip chart and boardroom layout seating 10 to 12 people.

The Business Centre
For interviews and meeting involving two or three people, or for use a fully-equipped office.
